It's rare to stumble across true musical talent these days, but that's exactly what happened when we found Conor playing his solo acoustic set in the small venue at the back of Brel in Glasgow's Ashton Lane.

Brought up in a musical family in Ireland, Conor Mason took to playing music from a very young age. Learning classical piano at the age of 8 he soon progressed to a variety of other instruments. The efforts to self teach himself drums and guitar would later pay off to become the basis of his songwriting.

On leaving school Conor followed a music production course at a local college where learned the techniques of writing and recording music. With this newly acquired knowledge, some software, and his brother’s computer, Conor went to work on his first batch of songs and has never looked back.

It wasn't long before people were taking notice of Conor's music. In recent months, his song 'Circles', was one of ten songs of the year in the BBC Across The Line show in N. Ireland. Most recently, Conor has also won both the XFM Unsigned competition and the monthy 'Your Sound' showdown at King Tuts.

With such stunning songwriting consistency, and the sheer warmth of every performance, we look forward to hearing (and seeing) what Conor does next.
