It's rare to stumble across truly unique musical talent these days, but that's exactly what happened when we found Conor Mason playing a solo acoustic set in the small venue at the back of Bar Brel in Glasgow's Ashton Lane.

Brought up in a musical family in Ireland, Conor took to music from a very young age. Learning classical piano at the age of 8 he quickly progressed to a variety of other instruments. The efforts to self teach himself drums and guitar would later pay off as they became the basis of his songwriting.

On leaving school Conor followed a music production course at a local college where he learned the techniques of writing and recording music. With this newly acquired knowledge, some software, and his brother's computer, Conor went to work on his first batch of songs and has never looked back.

It wasn't long before the media started to take notice of Conor's music. His song 'Circles' was voted one of the top ten songs of the year in the BBC Across The Line show. Prior to joining the Antimatter roster Conor was also a winner of both the XFM Unsigned competition and the monthy King Tut's 'Your Sound' showdown.

Conor's first release on Antimatter was the limited edition 'Falling Out of Touch' single. The single quickly sold out and paved the way for his long-awaited debut album, the stunning ten track 'When It's Over'.

Returning to his native hometown of Derry from Glasgow in 2009, Conor is currently hard at work in the studio on his second album. We look forward to the results !
