Something quite beautiful happened when Amy Rafferty, Allan James and Graham McCarey collided together from their disparate corners of the musical spectrum. This unlikely meeting of musical talent was the catalyst for what would eventually become The Recovery Club.

An initial creative 'experiment' was to quickly become something unique. Their organic approach to songwriting would allow The Recovery Club as a band to naturally find their feet and that ever elusive core sound.

Difficult to pigeon hole (although comparisons could be drawn to bands such as Low, Mazzy Star and Madder Rose), their fragile, yet undeniably powerful songs are the kind which connect directly with an audience.

As a live band The Recovery Club are nothing short of captivating. Their glowing stage performances have been further enhanced by contributions from other like-minded musicians which include multi-instrumentalist Dochan MacMillan and pianist Brian McAlees, both of whom have brought a further dynamic to the band's live sound.

In recent times, The Recovery Club's growing reputation has resulted in support slots opening for bands such as Aberfeldy and cult Canadian band The Hidden Cameras.

The first official release from The Recovery Club comes in the shape of the single 'Rest and Be Thankful', available now in the Antimatter shop.
